SCENARIO: Bunko night once a month with 12 gals for 2 hours.
SITUATION: Gals texting constantly while playing. Not just once in a while (which wouldn't matter anyway) but CONSTANTLY
QUESTION: RUDE or NOT RUDE?
MY VOTE: RUDE.
WHY: Because: 1) What? You can't put your personal life aside for 2 hours a month and spend time with your friends?? b) It's inconsiderate to others and c) JUST PLAIN RUDE!
This is not a multiple choice question. I really want your input. But be careful. This is a no judge zone.

I think I have to agree with you on this one. In fact consistently ignoring people who have taken the time to be there in Person for somebody on the phone via talking or texting is extremely rude. I think cell phones as a whole have made us oblivious to simple etiquette. Unless your house is on fire or your kids are missing, nobody on the other end of the phone is more important than the person in front of you..Period
Im the kind of person that when I have company or when Im talking to someone I will ignore my phone calls. Apparently that is weird. There is no common courtesy anymore. People just plain suck.
i guess i suck. i was txting my babysitter, my husband, and denise - who wanted to know if we had 12 ladies.
I would agree. Is rude to be texting or what not when visiting with others.
As a fellow bunco player but in a different group I would have grabbed the cell phone and thrown it against the wall. We had someone who use to text THE WHOLE time. We all gave her so much crap that we made a no texting rule.
